A conundrum
Tonight I went out in the sleepy little town of Saratoga Springs to watch the Yankee game. I chatted up a couple of people and had a nice, harmless evening. Afterwards I walked back to the motel while on the phone. Finishing up my call, I sat on a wall off the main road outside the motel. A car slowed down and the man driving asked me if I needed a ride. Was this a nice, small-town thing to do? The driver did not seem like the protective-dad type. Do I look like a prostitute looking "for a ride"? I really hope that my Yankees' jersey and brown padagonia jacket don't give off a whorish vibe. Maybe Saratoga Springs isn't such a sleepy little town. It's a conundrum.

Not the Yankees Jersey but the fact that you were just hanging out in front of a cheap motel??
ReplyDeleteThis happened to Rachel once in Williamsburg. Except she was wearing hooker heels and a white faux fur jacket.
ReplyDeleteAhem - they were not hooker heels, I believe they were sparkly boots I bought in Vegas ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Anna,
ReplyDeleteI just found the care that you had written this blog spot url on. I was on of the people that you spoke to in the bar (while watching the Yankee game). I was sitting next to you on your right. I see that you have had an adventerous and entertaining trip. I am glad that you have been safe. Thank goodness nothing bad happened with the "ride" offerer. If you recall, I did offer to walk you to your nice hotel. Rodwin
