As it turns out, le Canadian custom workers are not eager to admit an unemployed wanderer into their country. I got pulled over at the border and had to go see the "the guy inside."
Him: "How are you supporting yourself?"
Me: "I have savings."
Him: "You still have savings after not working for six months?"
Me: "My mother died. She left me some money."
Him, in a very snarky tone: "That's nice."
Me: "Not for her."
It's a miracle they let me in. I think I might go get some free healthcare just to justify my harassment.
Also, would it kill them to post a speed-limit sign? Am I supposed to guess? Most everyone seems to drive like they're on the autobahn, but I'm trying to avoid getting in more trouble with the authorities.
Finally, no Yankee game on TV? This explains the death of the Expos. Apparently les Québécois don't give a shit about the ALCS.
