Visiting Lambeau Field

I spent most of today at Lambeau Field. I arrived at 10:30 a.m. and didn't leave until almost 3 p.m. It's is quite the place.  The hour long tour includes a visit to a skybox and a walk through the players tunnel on to the field. It was a lot more comprehensive than I was expecting.  Before we started off, our guide informed us of the rules: no video, no eating/drinking/smoking and no Lambeau Leaps. "No problem. What the hell is a Lambeau Leap?" I thought, but was smart enough not to say out loud. On the tour with me were two baby-faced guys who told us that they were from Rhode Island, but were stationed near by and shipping out tomorrow.  They were spending their last 'day of freedom' touring the stadium. (When asked 'where you are from and why you are visiting?' I think I'm going to start lying and just say that I am in town on business. The whole 'driving cross country' leads to too many questions.) These guys got down on the field and said they just couldn't resist doing the Lambeau Leap.  "Will we get thrown out?" they asked the tour guide.  I just knew this lady was going to let them do it.  They looked so young and eager, and about to go off to war... Who could resist granting this silly request? So off they went, leaping into the stands.  It was kinda great to see. No one else on the tour begrudged them the special treatment or even asked if they could join in the rule breaking.  And I got to see what the Lambeau Leap is first hand.
