Private Tours
I went to the Art Gallery of Ontario this afternoon and got another private tour! I don't care what anyone says, there are some definite advantages to traveling in October. The museum was recently redesigned by Frank Gehry and has beautiful wood staircases on the sides and some interesting art, mostly by Canadian artists. I had no idea what I was looking at. I had just missed the one hour 'Highlight of the AGO' tour but I was in time for the quicky 1/2 tour of one specific exhibit. When the meeting area flooded with docents, I got my own guide who asked what exhibit I wanted to see. When I responded that I was visiting the city for the day and that I was 'in her hands' she insisted that I would have to get a highlights tour. We walked around the building for almost an hour. I think she was offended when we ended the tour and I mentioned that I was headed for my favorite part of every museum, the gift shop.
