Halloween

For the first time in years I carved a pumpkin this afternoon.  It's a lot of pressure to create an iconic holiday image. The first cut really is the hardest. Jane and I puzzled over it, even going so far as to Google pumpkin images for ideas.  Who would have thought that we would need the internet to carve a pumpkin?  The third pumpkin we saved for Jeff.  He walked in after his paddle game, grabbed a knife and had a 'scary' pumpkin knocked out in about 10 minutes.  He clearly had the right idea.  I had a blast spending Halloween with the Devron family.  It really is a treat to see kids enjoying the holiday, instead of the village tranies.

  1. Lol.

We hit Chelsea for a Saturday night pre-Halloween walkabout. I like to think we are giving our son a very important kind of education.
